How our pricing works
Transparent, flexible and aligned with the level of work and support your solution requires. Two simple ChatFox fees, plus small third-party usage costs billed directly to you — with no markup.
Two clear fees
A one-off fee to build and launch your solution, and a monthly fee to run and support it. You always get a clear quote in advance, and no work begins until it's approved.
Setup Fee
Covers the initial work required to get your ChatFox solution live:
- Configuration of your ChatFox system
- Setup of workflows and automations
- Any required system integrations
- Testing and deployment
Management Fee
Covers the ongoing operation, monitoring and support of your solution:
- Platform monitoring and support
- Management of integrations and workflows
- Performance oversight and issue resolution
- Ongoing optimisation where appropriate
Included support time every month
Each month your plan includes 30 minutes of technical time at no additional charge — for small changes and refinements like minor workflow adjustments or configuration updates. More substantial changes such as new features, additional integrations or expanded functionality are quoted separately before any work is carried out.
Pass-through costs, explained
Alongside ChatFox's fees, there are small usage-based charges from third-party providers. These are minor, directly linked to how much the system is used, and for most businesses represent a modest operational expense.
ChatFox adds zero markup to these charges. You own the accounts and are billed directly by the providers.
How WhatsApp charges
ChatFox uses WhatsApp Business to talk to your customers. WhatsApp charges per conversation, not per message.
A conversation starts when a message is sent or received
Each conversation lasts 24 hours
You're charged once per conversation, however many messages are exchanged
A customer messages you first.
You message the customer — a follow-up or update, for example.
Indicative only — the cost per conversation is set by WhatsApp and varies slightly by country, billed directly to your WhatsApp Business account.
How the AI is charged
ChatFox uses a Large Language Model to generate responses. We typically recommend Anthropic's Claude or OpenAI's ChatGPT — chosen for their quality, reliability and strong real-world performance.
AI usage is charged by tokens — roughly, the amount of text sent to the AI plus the amount it sends back. Short, simple conversations use very few tokens; longer or more detailed ones use slightly more.
Indicative only — for most clients AI usage stays very modest, especially against the efficiency gains and time savings ChatFox delivers.
You own it, you see everything
You own both the WhatsApp Business and LLM accounts
You're billed directly by WhatsApp and OpenAI
Full visibility and control over usage and costs
ChatFox helps configure and optimise usage to keep costs efficient
